Report on attendance at 17th Congress of the Accounting Workers of the Republic of
Macedonia which was held from 8th to 9th October 2015 in Skopje The Association of Accountants and Auditors of Republic of Srpska, pursuant to the decision of its Management board, was represented at the 17th Congress of Accounting Workers of the Republic of Macedonia by Prof. dr. Dusko Snjegota, Msc Borko Reljic and Mico Vukovic.
At the 17th Congress participated also representatives from Republic of Croatia, Republic of Montenegro, Republic of Serbia, Republic of Bulgaria and Federation BiH.
In addition to the official working part of the Congress and series of presentations related to areas of accounting, transition and application of accounting practices which were delivered by eminent professors from Republic of Macedonia, Republic of Serbia, Republic of Bulgaria and Republic of Srpska, a roundtable covered among others a topic „ Comparative experiences of the associations in the region.“
Participants at the roundtable on mentioned topic included those from the Republic of Srpska, Republic of Croatia, Republic of Monetenegro and Federation BiH. Following the introductory presentations by the associations’ representatives and lively discussion on issues related to organization of associations-unions of the accounting and auditing workers, application of the legislation and International standards in this area and the accounting profession organization theretofore, the impression was gained that the Association of Accountants and Auditors of the Republic of Srpska is organized at a very high and desirable level as compared to the other associations. The representative of the Republic of Croatia noted that accounting profession in their Republic is not well organized.
