Upon the invitation of the Chamber of Financial Auditors of Romania, Mirela Bojic, the Secretary and coordinator for international coopration of the Accountants and Auditors of the Republic of Srpska, attended the 4th Congress of the Romanian accounting profession which was organized during the period 22 – 24 October in Brasov, Transilvania and was the only Serbian representative at this event.
The Congress which was organized under the title „Challenges of the auditing profession – actions for implementing the European Union regulations“ gathered around 450 participants as well as representatives of other european countries ( Russia, Moldova, Bulgaria, Israel and other).
During the Congress organized were plenary session and four workshops on following subjects: („Oversight of the accountancy and audit profession– prerequisite for conducting high quality engagements“, „Professional education – essential element in creating an audit organizational culture“, „Legislative challenges for the accounting and auditing profession“ and „Exchange of experiences – challenges for professionals“).
At the Congress present were observers from IFAC, ICAEW, ACCA, FEE and FIDEF and reputable professors from Italy, France, Germany made presentations and participated in the interactive discussions.
