The delegation of the Association of Accountants and Auditors of the Repubic of Srpska
participated at the 16th annual auditing conference of Poland during the period 21-
23 October, 2015.
The Conference was organized by the Polish Chamber of Auditors around the following topic: „Changes in financial reporting and auditing.“ The event was held in the city of Jachranka near Warsaw at the Congress center „Warszawianka“ counted with around 300 participants coming from the profession and large number of invitees. The Association of Accountants and Auditors of the Republic of Srpska was represented by Mr. Sinisa Mutic. Throughout the three-day long conference the delegation of the Association took part in the panel discussions organized around accounting and auditing issues.
Total of 5 panel discussions were organized whereby following topics were discussed:
- Trends in financial reporting and auditing -international perspective,
- Changes in accounting and financial reporting,
- Changes in auditing,
- Changes in quality assurance and supervision systems and,
- Effects of changes in financial reporting and auditing on auditing profession future.
During the visit the meetings with Mr. Kristof Burnos, the president of the Polish Chamber of Auditors, were held to discuss possibilities of the international cooperation as per recently signed agreement. It was concluded that there were opportunities and enthusiasm to intensify and deepen the relationship between the two associations in the forthcoming period.
Apart from the meetings with the host to the Conference, the contacts were made with the other foreign delegations’ representatives, among others, Mr. Petar Kriz, the vice-president of the European Federation of Accountants, delegation of the World Bank Centre for Financial Reporting Reform, delegation of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, delegation of Bulgarian Chamber of Auditors.
