Association of Accountants and Auditors of Republic of Srpska delegation took part in the World Bank international conference on REPARIS program from November 2 to November 5, 2009. The delegation consisted of the following representatives:
- Professor Dragan Mikerevic, the Board President
- Professor Novak Kondic, Secretary General
- M.A. Dejan Mikerevic, President of the Committee for International Cooperation.
During the Conference the REPARIS program structure was discussed which should improve the accountancy and audit profession in Western Balkans but also emphasize the regulation of profession. AAARS representatives took an active part in the Conference and gave certain suggestions about AAARS participation in the project. In an official meeting with World Bank representatives the basic determinants were agreed of the cooperation between AAARS and WB within REPARIS.
AAARS representatives raised the subject of supporting AAARS for a membership in international associations, especially IFAC, given the fact that World Bank and USAID have been giving a significant support to AAARS regarding the aforementioned membership. The AAARS delegation also had meetings with the representatives of Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania, EFAA, representatives of finance ministries etc. The AAARS participation in REPARIS has been confirmed and will continue in the future.
